Yuvraj included
in a revised squad for last two ODIs |
January 25, 2007
Exciting
middle order batsman, Yuvraj Singh has been
included in the squad for the last two ODIs
against West Indies. Yuvraj has recovered from
his devastating knee injury that had kept him
out during the recent tours. Along with Yuvraj,
Anil Kumble had also been drafted into the team.
Another big name which is back in the reckoning
is Irfan Khan Pathan, who is included only for
the final ODI, which is at his home town,
Vadodara.
Left
arm pacer,
Rudra Pratap
Singh, who did not get a game has been
excluded along with all rounder
Joginder Sharma, who had played in the
second ODI with moderate performance. Former
Vice-Captain Virender Sehwag has been ignored
for selection and the blazing batsman might get
his turn during the next ODI Series, which is
against Sri Lanka. For the next One Dayer at
Chennai, it is likely that Anil Kumble might
play instead of Harbhajan Singh, while Robin
Uthappa may get to play in the place of Sourav
Ganguly. India cannot lose the current Pepsi Cup
Series against West Indies having won the first
two ODIs. The third match is at Chennai to be
played under lights.
