Rain Gods have once again won over the Cricket
at Colombo with the first game of the Unitech
Cup between Sri Lanka and India abandoned due to
wet ground conditions. Although there wasn't
much rain today, it was yesterday night's heavy
showers that did their damage on the outfield.
There was hardly any sunshine that could come
out and help the ground to get dry. As things
stand by, this match has been rescheduled to the
rest day which is tomorrow and it should begin
at the same time. However with thick black
clouds hovering over the skies, possibility of a
shower or two is high during the evening or
night time. So the groundstaff might just find
it tough to get the ground get fit for
International Cricket.
