  • Teams will retain their status of A1, A2 etc. for the Super Eights round irrespective of whether they finish first or second in the group standings. But when the third team of a Group manages to stand second or first in the standings, then it shall replace the team that was knocked out of the group. (Eg. If Bangladesh in Group A finishes second in the group standings and if West Indies finish third, then Bangladesh will become A2 for the Super Eights round).
