Malinga recalled
for Pakistan Tour |

The Sri Lankan selectors have wielded the axed
on promising middle order batsman Tillakaratne
Dilshan for the upcoming two-Test series against
Pakistan commencing later this month.
Veteran dashing wicketkeeper batsman Romesh
Kaluwitharana has been included in the 15-member
Test squad announced here. Kaluwitharana,
who would keep wickets during the Tests so that
Kumar Sangakkara, who has doing the
wicketkeeping duties in the on-going Paktel Cup,
could concentrate on his batting.
Left-hander Jehan Mubarak, uncapped opener Ian
Daniel and uncapped middle order batsman Thilina
Kandamby have been drafted to the side after
their good performances for the Sri Lankan 'A'
side. Rookie fast bowler Lasith Malinga, also
staged a comeback after being dropped from the
team for the ongoing Paktel Cup One-day
tri-series tourney.
Leg spinner Upul Chandana and left-arm spinner
Rangana Herath would have to shoulders the spin
bowling responsibilities in absence of star
spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, who is
recuperating from a shoulder operation.
The series begins in Faisalabad on October 20,
while the second Test gets underway at Karachi
on October 28.
