Atapattu to make
his comeback in the Unitech Cup |

Atapattu is fit again and has been included in
the 15-man Sri Lankan Team for the Tri-nation
Unitech Cup featuring India and South Africa as
the other two Teams. However it would be Mahela
Jayawardene to continue as the Skipper and he
had led his side to a 5-0 whitewash against
England recently. Marvan will not be returning
back as an opener but would bat in the middle
order. The 35-year-old has played 253 ODIs and
has scored 8233 runs with 11 hundreds and 59
fifties. Marvan Atapattu will be making a
comeback after five long months after a back
injury that required him to undergo a surgery.
Prasanna Jayawardene, the specialist wicket
keeper has also been included in the squad but
the news that is coming out is that Kumar
Sangakkara would do the wicket keeper duties.
Sri Lanka takes on South Africa in the opening
game of the Unitech Cup on the 14th at
R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
