Fall of wickets (India Vs Sri Lanka,
3rd ODI at Jaipur) |
Fall of Sri Lankan wickets :
1-31 (Sanath Jayasuriya, 5.5 ovs) :
Jayasuriya gets dismissed by the lack of pace
and bounce in the Jaipur wicket. But having said
that Ajit Agarkar truly deserved this wicket, he
has been after Jayasuriya for the last few
deliveries, he had a big lbw shout turned down
but this time his persistence pays off and the
danger man is out. That ball from Agarkar was
slightly wider and got Jayasuriya to go for the
cut shot only to see his inside edge crashes
onto his stumps, Agarkar gets really excited
now.
2-77 (Marvan Atapattu, 20.1 ovs) :
Jai Prakash Yadav forced Atapattu to nick his
outswinger and Dhoni who is standing infront of
the stumps holds onto that sharp chance.
3-228 (Mahela Jayawardene, 43.4 ovs) : We
are into the slog overs now and both batsmen
have started to throw their bats around to take
Lanka to a huge total. But but Agarkar provides
the brakes to the momentum as he had Jayawardene
skying his delivery straight to Sehwag at
thirdman. Well bowled by Agarkar as he didn't
give the right length for Mahela to get under
the ball.
4-240 (Tillakaratne Dilshan, 45.4 ovs) :
Dilshan misses to make any contact with his bat
and gets hit in front of the stumps on his
attempted sweep shot of the bowling of Sehwag.
The umpire has no hesitation in ruling the
batsman out lbw.
Fall of Indian wickets :
1-7 (Sachin Tendulkar, 0.5 ovs) :
Tendulkar goes for a wild drive to a ball that
could have been called as a wide had it been
left alone. But Sachin pays the penalty of
chasing that wide away swinger from Vaas and a
fantastic catch behind the stumps from the
century maker Sangakkara!
2-99 (Virender Sehwag, 14.5 ovs) : Sehwag
goes for the big slog sweep against Muralitharan
but Murali gets the ball to straighten. That
beats the intentions of Sehwag and the batsman
finds himself struck in front of the stumps.
3-185 (Rahul Dravid, 27.2 ovs) : Dravid
gets out to a soft dismissal as he gets deceived
in the air and pats it straight to the bowler.
Murali strikes again for Sri Lanka but t might
be too late as India are coasting home at this
stage.
4-250 (Yuvraj Singh, 36.4 ovs) : Dilshan
outsmarts Yuvraj with his off breaks as the left
hander plays along the wrong line and Dilshan
gets the ball to turn just enough to go past the
bat and castle the stumps.
