Shikhar Dhawan is a
left handed opening batsman from Delhi. Dhawan
came into limelight following his sterling
show in the U19 World Cup in Bangladesh.
Dhawan was born on 5th December, 1985 in
Delhi.

Shikhar Dhawan was
the Leading Run-Scorer
in the U-19 World Cup in 2004 with 505 runs to
his name at an Average of 84.16 with a strike
rate of 93.51 in 7 matches
with a highest score of 155 against Scotland.

With three 100’s and a
fifty in that tournament, he was named the
Player of the Tournament. His three hundreds
were against Scotland, Bangladesh and Sri
Lanka.

Delhi's Ranji Trophy encounter against Andhra
at the Roshanara Club Ground in Delhi on 16th
November 2004. Dhawan scored 49 in the 1
innings played by Delhi in that match.
