South Africa include Kemp and Ontong for Zondeki
and Rudolph |
April 26th 2005
South Africa have included all rounders Justin
Kemp and Justin Ontong in their one day squad
that would be playing West Indies in the
upcoming 5-ODIs Series. These two would be
replacing fast bowler Monde Zondeki and middle
order batsman Jacques Rudolph. It may be
recalled that Justin Kemp's fireworks with the
bat during the recent home series against
England was instrumental in South Africa winning
the series. Boland player Justin Ontong bowls
leg breaks and also off breaks and has played 16
ODIs to date and had picked up 7 wickets, his
batting hasn't been noteworthy so far. The 1st
of the 5 ODIs starts on 7th May at Jamaica.
Below is the complete squad:
Graeme Smith
(Captain), Abraham de Villiers, Boeta Dippenaar,
Herschelle Gibbs, Andrew Hall, Jacques Kallis,
Justin Kemp, Ashwell Prince, Mark Boucher
(Wicket Keeper), Nicky Boje, Charl Langeveldt,
Andre Nel, Makhaya Ntini, Justin Ontong, Shaun
Pollock
