Gibbs dropped for
the remaining 2 Tests against NZ |
Apr
23, 2006
Herschelle
Gibbs has been dropped for the remaining two
Test matches against New Zealand following the
right hander's poor form. Gibbs had struggled in
the recent past due to lack of footwork and he
has fallen many times clean bowled by the
incoming deliveries. Herschelle Gibbs has had
just one century in the recent times that if
scoring a magnificent 175 at Wanderers where
South Africa chased the highest ever total in
One Day Cricket. Gibbs has been given a break by
the selectors to sort out his technical flaws
and come back fresh in the next season. The 2nd
Test match between South Africa and New Zealand
begins on the 27th and the homeside had won the
1st Test played at the Centurion.
