for SA Series |
March 21, 2008

Mahendra
Singh Dhoni and
Harbhajan Singh
have successfully passed their mandatory fitness
tests at the National Cricket Academy in
Bangalore today. Both these players will take
part in the first test against South Africa
which starts from the 26th at Chennai.
Dhoni was having a minor finger injury while
off spinner Harbhajan Singh had sustained a
hamstring strain after the CB Series. Both these
players had undergone specific drills under
India's short term Physio - Paul Close. Earlier, the
Selectors had named a few reserve players which
includes Dinesh Kartik and Piyush Chawla. With
Dhoni declared as fit, Dinesh Karthik will have
to stay out of the team. Piyush Chawla though
will be a part of the team because of the ankle
injury to Murali Kartik.
