tennis elbow |
May 26, 2006
South
African all rounder Jacques Kallis is going to
have a surgery to repair his tennis elbow.
Kallis is scheduled to have this operation in
his left elbow on the 31st of this month. He
will be wearing elbow splints for about 10 days
and then begin the rehabilitation process of
regaining lost strength in his elbow and it
might take from four to six weeks for the same.
Kallis will be missing South Africa’s tour of
Sri Lanka which is from July to September and
this also includes a triangular One Day Series
with Sri Lanka and India being the other two
teams. The all rounder is targeting to make a
comeback during the ICC Champions Trophy that is
to be held in October. Kallis had been troubled
with this tennis elbow since the
Australian tour
which he had missed. He did comeback into
cricket to play the two home series against
Australia and
New Zealand and
recently joined Gary Sobers in achieving the
rare double of scoring 8000 Test runs and taking
200 Test wickets.
