Ranji One Day 2004-05 : Central Zone: Railways Vs Rajasthan

Jan 13th, 2005: Rajasthan, who were yet to register a win in the tournament faced Railways today at the Daly College Ground in Indore.

Rajasthan after winning the toss and electing to bat put 243 runs on the board with opener Anshu Jain and No.3 Naresh Gehlot putting on a crucial 138 run partnership for the 2nd wicket. Chawaria and Dave towards the end chipped in with useful 20's to post a competitive total. The all rounder Jai Prakash Yadav picked up 3 wickets for 42 runs.

Railways in reply lost Shankara Rao and Amit Pagnis, their inform opener with 10 runs on the board. Jai P Yadav and Sanjay Bangar steadied the Railway innings with a useful 86 run partnership. Siddharth Khanolkar proved handy with an unbeaten 76 but due to lack of support from other team mates, Railways in the end lost out by 3 runs. Sumit Mathur and Shinde were impressive as both bagged 3 wickets each. Rajasthan with this win opened their points tally with 4 points.

Rajasthan 243/6 in 50 Overs (A Jain 83 N Gehlot 69, JP Yadav 3/42) defeated Railways 240 in 50 Overs (S Khanolkar 76* JP Yadav 48*, S Mathur 3/39 V Shinde 3/31) by 3 runs
