Vidarbha took on Madhya Pradesh in the 7th Match
of the Central Zone League and the venue was the
Maharani Usharaje Trust Cricket Ground at Indore.
Madhya Pradesh won a
crucial toss and put the opposition into bat.
Faiz Fazal, who was recently selected for the
India U-19 team 2 days back, led Vidarbha with a
very good century that came of 136 balls with 3
sixes. Salil Khare gave him good support with 53
of 62 balls, as Vidarbha reached a total of 248
for the loss of 9 wickets after 50 overs. Sanjay
Pandey was impressive with figures of 4 wickets
for 41 runs.
Madhya Pradesh in reply
seemed in no trouble as they coasted along
thanks to a well compiled 93 by wicket keeper
Naman Ojha to start of with, which was
accompanied by a brilliant 125* by captain Abbas
Ali. Madhya Pradesh reached the target in the
48th over as they sailed to a comfortable 8
wicket victory.
Madhya Pradesh take on
Railways tomorrow, while Vidarbha will face a
confident Uttar Pradesh team tomorrow.
