Jan 11th, 2005:
After losing narrowly by a wicket against
Punjab, Haryana took on Himachal Pradesh today
at the Nadaun Stadium.
Himachal Pradesh won the
toss and elected to field first. Anju Thakur and
Sangram Singh didn't disappoint their captain as
they broke through the Haryana batting and
bundled them out for a paltry 86. Anju Thakur
ended up with figures of 4/86, while all-rounder
Sangram Singh took 3 wickets for 11 runs.
In reply, Haryana gave
the blokes from Himachal Pradesh a scare as they
were restricted to 42/5. But a patient knock of
an unbeaten 35 from Paras Dogra ensured a 4
wicket win for Himachal Pradesh. Himachal
Pradesh with this win earned the bonus point as
they now lead the Points Table with 10 points.
Himachal Pradesh now face
Haryana on the 13th of January while Haryana
take on Services on the same date.
