Ranji One Day 2004-05 : North Zone: Delhi Vs Jammu & Kashmir

Jan 9th, 2005:

Delhi won the toss and their innings was controlled by No. 3 Mithun Manhas and Ajay Jadeja. Although the runs weren’t coming that quickly thanks to controlled bowling from the J&K bowlers, Delhi did well to compile 227. Manhas scored 59 and Jadeja went on to score 109 from 138 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes. Without Manhas and Jadeja’s knocks Delhi would have been in an embarrassing position against the minnows. Delhi infact lost their last 5 wickets for just 27 runs. New ball bowlers Abid Nabi with 5 wickets and Shafqat Baba with 3 were the heroes for J&K in the bowling department.

However J&K’s batsmen let their team down by going down to Amit Bhandari and Yogesh Sachdeva and could come up with only 149. Yogesh Sachdeva took 4/26 in his 10 overs and Bhandari had mean figures too of 3/26 in his 10.

Delhi 227 (Mithun Manhas 59 Ajay Jadeja 109, Abid Nabi 5/50 Shafqat Baba 3/30) defeated Jammu and Kashmir 149 (Amit Bhandari 3/26 Yogesh Sachdeva 4/26) by 78 runs Full Scorecard
