Delhi took on Haryana today at the Nadaun
Stadium in Nadaun.
After winning the toss
and electing to bat, Delhi posted a total of 266
runs thanks to a wonderful century by opener
Shikhar Dhawan. He scored a brilliant 131 which
consisted of 12 fours and a six. He was well
supported by Rajan Gupta who scored a slow yet
steady 76 of 113 balls.
Himachal Pradesh in reply
struggled throughout their innings, as no
batsman scored more than 40 runs. Maninder Bisla
top scored with 35 as Himachal Pradesh were
bowled out for a paltry 159 in the 43rd over.
Amit Bhandari was the star for Delhi with a 5
wicket haul giving away just 36 runs. Delhi with
this comprehensive 107 run victory earned 5
crucial points.
Delhi will now face
Haryana on the 15th, while Himachal Pradesh face
Jammu and Kashmir on the same date.
