Lara given a break; Wavell Hinds and Pedro

The West Indies Selectors made an important
decision in keeping Brian Lara out of the 13-man
squad to take on the visiting Pakistan team in
the One Day Series. The Selectors have mentioned
that the 36 year old Brian Lara had to be rested
so that he can be fully charged up for the
upcoming Test Series and the Series to follow
later. Wavell Hinds, who was dropped in the ODI
Series has been recalled along with strike
bowler Pedro Collins. It may be recalled that
the West Indies suffered a 5-0 whitewash in the
One Day Series against South Africa. The 1st ODI
begins on 18th with St.Vincent being the venue.
The remaining two one dayers are played on
consecutive days on the 21st and 22nd at
St.Lucia.
