Karachi Centurion Faisal Iqbal gets into the ODI
Squad

The Pakistan National Selection Committee, in
consultation with Captain Inzamam and Coach Bob
Woolmer have named a 16-man squad for the first
three One Day Internationals against India. The
1st of the five ODIs begins at Peshawar on the
6th. Faisal Iqbal, the nephew of Javed Miandad
has got the nod following his neat hundred in
the 2nd innings of the Karachi Test. Likewise,
Imran Farhat who had a decent outing with the
bat in the 3rd Test and who also had fielded
very well gets in and the rest of the batsmen
pick themselves. Pakistan have dropped fast
bowler
Mohammad Sami and leg spinner
Danish Kaneria. The Selectors decided to go
with Arshad Khan as the specialist spinner with
back up from Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik.
Umar Gul and Yasir Arafat return to the squad.
