Little Mushy gets a recall; Pak pick squad to
face England |

Mushtaq Ahmed who was once labeled as one of the
best leg spinners along with Shane Warne and
Anil Kumble makes a comeback in the 16-man
Pakistan Test Squad to face England. The 35 year
old leggie last played a Test Match for Pakistan
at Faisalabad against South Africa two years
back. Mushtaq Ahmed has played 52 Tests and has
185 wickets to his name with three 10-wkt hauls.
Pakistan have gone in for 3 frontline spinners
in Danish Kaneria, Arshad Khan along with
Mushtaq Ahmed. Batting all rounders Shahid
Afridi and Shoaib Malik would also add up to the
spin department. Apart from the spinners,
Pakistan have brought back speedsters Shoaib
Akthar and Mohammad Sami.
Abdul Razzaq is suffering from an elbow
injury and is out of contention for three to
four weeks. In the batting, 23 year old Hasan
Raza makes a comeback into the Pakistan side
after a gap of 3 years. Hasan Raza, 23 years old
right hander had made his Test Debut at the age
of 15 against Zimbabwe in 1996. Raza didn’t go a
long way in his career and has played just the 5
Tests for Pakistan in 6 years with limited
success. The 1st Test between Pakistan and
England begins on the 16th of November at
Pakistan skipper Inzamam’s hometown Multan.
