Pakistan at 140 for 3 in their second innings are just 40 runs away from a historic win against Australia. This was after Steven Smith’s heroic 77 which lifted the Aussies to 349 to give Pakistan a target of 180. Mohammad Aamer kept Pakistan’s advantage intact by taking four wickets. Michael Clarke was the key player on Day 3 but once he got out on 77, the door opened completely for a Pak win.
In their second innings, Pakistan lost Skipper Salman Butt in the 6th over but what followed that was a 110-run stand between Imran Farhat (67) and Azhar Ali (47*).
