changes! Sachin, Dhoni out with injuries |

India looking for a
series win at home against Pakistan after a
fairly long period has been struck with major
problems for the third and final Test at
Bangalore. Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni have been ruled out with injuries. India
therefore has been forced to make four changes
in total with the two opening bowlers ruled out
after the second test. Anil Kumble has won the
toss and has elected to bat on a grassy looking
wicket at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Sachin Tendulkar is
having a knee problem which he had sustained
during the One Day Series. What was a minor
problem for Sachin had aggravated while fielding
in the second test at Kolkata. With the
Australian tour coming up, Sachin Tendulkar has
been rested. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been
suffering from an ankle injury has also missed
this ongoing third Test because of picking up a
finger injury. Dinesh Karthik is the wicket
keeper for the third test and his opening slot
has gone to Gautam Gambhir. Yuvraj Singh makes a
comeback in the Test Team in the place of Sachin
Tendulkar. Yuvraj was the Man of the Series
during the One Day Series and has been
consistently good in the recent past. It was
very surprising to see Yuvraj not play in the
first two Tests.
The opening bowling pair
of Zaheer Khan (out with a heel injury) and
Munaf Patel (back problem) have been replaced
with Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma, who is just
one test old. Pakistan's original Captain Shoaib
Malik has still not regained his fitness after
the Delhi Test. Pakistan have made one change to
their line up by dropping Sohail Tanvir and
giving Test Debut for fast bowler Yasir Arafat.
