New
Zealand have dropped senior players
Nathan Astle and
Craig McMillan for the 4 ODIs Series
against Sri Lanka starting on the 31st of this
month. Three other players who had played in the
Chappel-Hadlee Trophy have also been dropped
namely
James Marshall,
Chris Martin and
James Franklin. Two fresh faces Jamie How
and Peter Fulton have been added. Twenty Six
year old Canterbury middle order batsman Peter
Fulton has an impressive First Class Record with
a highest score of 301* and he had figured in an
ODI against Bangladesh in 2004. Jamie How is a
24 year old batting all rounder from Central
Districts. Stephen Fleming would be back as the
Skipper for the Black Caps. Andre Adams and
Shane Bond are also back in the squad. The first
of the four ODIs begins on the 31st.
