New Zealand won the 5th and final ODI of the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy at Wellington by 51 runs. They lost the Series though 2-3. The hosts batting first reached 241 for 9 thanks to Scott Styris’ 55 (from 66 balls with 2 fours and a six). In reply, Australia were pegged back at 96 for 5 and eventually were bowled out for 190 with Shane Bond and Man of the Match Tim Southee taking four wickets each. The top scorer for the visitors was opener Shane Watson who made 53.
