Pakistan are in the driver’s seat at the end of the second day’s play of the Wellington Test having bowled out the Kiwis for just 99. The visitors resuming the second day’s play at a shaky 161 for 6 ended up scoring 103 more runs thanks to Kamran Akmal’s 70.
New Zealand were bundled out in just 36.5 overs with Mohammad Asif taking four wickets. Leg Spinner Danish Kaneria had a dream spell of 6-2-6-3. Pakistan in their second innings are 64 for 2 which has taken their lead to 229.
