Kulkarni replaces Bahutule as Mumbai Captain |
January 8th, Mumbai:
Left-arm spinner Nilesh Kulkarni was today
appointed to lead Mumbai in the the West Zone
one-day limited overs tournament to be held in
Ahmedabad from January 10-17, replacing the
originally named captain Sairaj Bahutule.
Announcing the change, Mumbai Cricket
Association Joint Secretary Lalchand Rajput said
Onkar Khanvilkar would replace the injured
Bahutule in the squad which takes on Baroda in
its lungopener on January 10.
Bahutule suffered a hamstring injury during the
course of Mumbai's penultimate Ranji Trophy
Elite Division Group A match against Karnataka
last month. He has still not recovered from the
injury.
Bengal Squad: Nilesh Kulkarni, Ajit
Agarkar, Wasim Jaffer, Vinayak Mane, Vineet
Indulkar, Amol Muzumdar, Nishit Shetty, Vinayak
Samant, Ramesh Powar, Usman Malvi, Wilkin Mota,
Praful Waghela, Bhavin Thakkar, Rahul Thakur and
Onkar Khanvilkar.
