The Mumbai squad to
take on the visiting Australian team in the
three-day tour match commencing here on
September 30 has been strengthened with the
inclusion of Ajit Agarkar.
The wiry pace bowler
was not available to play for the Ranji Trophy
champions in the Irani Cup clash against Rest of
India at Mohali which the former lost by a huge
margin. Medium pacer Santosh Shinde, and Rohit
Sharma have also been included in place of
injured pace bowler Munaf Patel, and Onkar
Khanwilkar respectively, according to Mumbai
Cricket Association Joint Secretary Ratnakar
Shetty.
Asked whether Sachin
Tendulkar, afflicted by tennis elbow, would be
playing the match, Shetty said "I don't know as
yet."
