Fiaz Fazal on an unbeaten 38. However rains
played spoilsport and the 1st Day's play had to
be called off. Kumaran and Rajat Bhatia picked
up a wicket apiece. Star bowler Zaheer Khan was
wicketless after sending down 11 overs. All in
all 33.4 overs of play was possible on the 1st
Day's play at the ECIL grounds. Vidharbha had
defeated Hyderabad President's XI in the pre
quarter final.
