Moin Khan dropped
for the 2nd Test |
26th Oct, LAHORE:
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection
committee, headed by Wasim Bari, has dropped
wicketkeeper Moin Khan for the second Test
against Sri Lanka starting on Thursday in
Karachi because of his poor performance with the
bat.
“The selection committee has dropped Moin on the
request of the team management,” Bari told
media. Pakistan lost the first Test in
Faisalabad by a huge margin 201 runs and captain
Inzamamul Haq stated that Faisalabad Test may be
the last Test of Moin. “Moin has been struggling
and we have recalled Kamran Akmal,” Bari added.
22-year-old Kamran has played six Tests and 12
ODIs after making his Test debut against
Zimbabwe in 2002-2003. Moin, who has played 69
Tests and 219 one-day internationals, scored
just five and one in the first Test
