  July 30-2004

India got a major boost ahead of the August 1st finals against Sri Lanka. And it was in the form of V.V.S.Laxman, who according to the Team’s Physio, Andrew Leipus is 100% fit for the final. V.V.S.Laxman actually got hit on his knee by a Zaheer Khan’s delivery in the nets.  He got hit on the same spot three times in last week and that has affected in lots of swelling and inflammation in his left knee. Laxman was quoted in a leading newspaper as saying " The leg is really improving, the mobility is much better. There was a lot of swelling and inflammation in my left knee. I got hit thrice in one week, but I'm looking forward to the final." Laxman has missed three games as a result of this injury.
