Kumble, Laxman, Zaheer and Balaji dropped for
the Tri Series |

 The
Indian Selectors after reinstating Sourav
Ganguly as the Captain for the Zimbabwe tour
yesterday have come up with 15 members squads
for both the tri series and the Test Series.
Anil Kumble, V.V.S.Laxman, Zaheer Khan and
Lakshmipathy Balaji have all been dropped from
the One Day side. Ajit Agarkar, Railways left
arm spinner Murali Karthik and Uttar Pradesh's
new ball bowler Rudra Pratap Singh have been
included. Suresh Raina, Y.Venugopal Rao and Jai
Prakash Yadav have been kept in the squad. The
Test Squad has no surprises in store with Anil
Kumble, V.V.S.Laxman, Zaheer Khan and Balaji
keeping their places in the Test Squad. Sachin
Tendulkar has also been included however his
place in the squad is subject to his fitness.
Dinesh Karthik as expected held his place in the
Test Squad following Dhoni's ordinary
performance with the gloves in the Indian Oil
Cup. Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif also find a
place in the Test Squad. Rudra Pratap Singh is a
left arm medium pacer who has come through the
ranks of India U19 and following his
performances in both U19 and first class level
has got the break. R.P.Singh isn't a tear
away quick but he is a genuine mover of the
ball. The tri series featuring the homeside
Zimbabwe, New Zealand and India would be
starting from the 24th of this month. India
would be playing two tests after the completion
of the One Day Series.
