India’s bench players Murali Vijay (148 from 218 balls with 16 fours and 3 sixes) and Dinesh Karthik (73 from 89 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes) have plundered the Punjab bowling on Day 2 at Amritsar. Tamil Nadu as a result of their superb batting are in a commanding position at 340 for 6 at close of play which gives them a lead of well over a hundred. Opener Abhinav Mukund chipped in with 61 as well. Punjab earlier were packed for 228 in their first innings.

Kudos to M.Vijay & Dinesh Kartik for playing so well. I always favour Dinesh – he bats well. And M.Vijay, I personally feel, he should have come in place of Shewag in Test match agaisnst SL.
