Indian Cricket’s two bright young players – Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja showed their mettle for playing the long innings to help their team reach a massive total at Rajkot. Pujara remained unbeaten on 204 (from 309 balls with 22 fours and a six) while the left handed Jadeja scored an unbeaten 122 (from 189 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes) to carry hosts Saurashtra to 544 for 3 before a declaration. Shitanshu Kotak who was on 85 overnight completed his century but got out at a score of 105. Maharashtra in reply to Saurashtra’s tall score are at 53 for 1 at Stumps on Day two.
