Mahi becomes the
World No.1 ODI batsman |

Mahi
better known as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the
dynamic Indian Wicket Keeper Batsman has become
the No.1 batsman in the world for One Day
Internationals. The 24-year-old Indian edged out
the Australian Skipper Ricky Ponting by just 1
point with his half century in the 2nd ODI at
Abu Dhabi. Dhoni with a rating of 806 is having
a neck to neck race with Ponting who has 805 and
the Australian Wicket Keeper Adam Gilchrist who
is having a rating of 793. Critics all over the
world have been talking that Mahendra Singh
Dhoni has a long way to come near to Adam
Gilchrist, well he certainly has come a long way
in a short span of time to match with Gilchrist
and he is now there at the top of the world.
Dhoni is currently averaging 52.76 with a mind
boggling strike rate of 103.00 after playing 42
ODIs after making his Debut against Bangladesh
in 2004/05. This new superstar has already hit
two unbelievable knocks of 148 and 183* in his
short career. Apart from Dhoni, two more Indian
batsmen are there in the Top 10 with Rahul
Dravid and Yuvraj hanging in there at No. 9 and
No. 10 with their consistent show. Among the
bowlers, Irfan Pathan has climbed up the ladder
to No.3 and Harbhajan Singh is at No.10. The
