Graeme Smith banned for four ODIs |
May 13th, 2005
South
Africa have had a very sweet and cherishing tour
of the Caribbean until the news of their skipper
being banned for 4 ODIs broke out. Graeme
Smith has been given a ban for four ODIs and was
fined 30% of his match fees on charges of slow
over-rate by Match Referee Jeff Crowe. This
means that South Africa would be without their
skipper for the rest of the Series. The Proteas
have already won the series 3-0 and the 4th and
5th ODIs would be played on 14th and 15th at the
Queen's Park Oval, Port Of Spain. Shaun Pollock
would be back as South Africa's skipper. It was
Graeme Smith who had become the skipper
replacing Shaun Pollock after South Africa's
dismal show in the 2003 World Cup.
