F.O.W at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore

Day 5 - Pakistan pick up the necessary 10 wickets to win the Test and draw the series.

Overs : 89.6 F.O.W : 10-214

Lakshmipathy Balaji lbw Danish Kaneria 0(16)

After two shouts negated by Simon Taufel, Balaji still went on to offer his pads to Danish Kaneria. And this time it was the inevitable as the Taufel signalled the end of the match and thus the Test Match was won by Pakistan in great style to draw the series.

Overs : 85.2 F.O.W : 9-210

Harbhajan Singh c Younis Khan b Danish Kaneria 8(22)

Expecting Harbhajan to survive without playing his shots is a difficult thing and that's what happened when he just prodded Danish Kaneria into the hands of silly point.

Overs : 79.5 F.O.W : 8-189

Irfan Pathan c Yousuf Youhana b Arshad Khan 0(29)

Most unfortunate dismissal for both Irfan Pathan and India as the ball hit the batsman's toe and lobbed straight into the silly point fielder's hands. Pathan was having a spirited partnership with Kumble and it was a tragedy to lose his wicket in that fashion.

Overs : 70.4 F.O.W : 7-164

Sachin Tendulkar c Asim Kamal b Shahid Afridi 16(98)

Tendulkar may have been dropped just before tea off Sami but that didn't make any difference at all. It was the 71st over and Afridi got his top spin to jump onto the batsman and that took the inside edge and the ball landed straight into the hands of Asim Kamal at short leg. Sachin has now been dismissed thrice by Afridi in this series.

Overs : 69.4 F.O.W : 6-164

Dinesh Karthik b Mohammad Sami 9(44)

Dinesh Karthik couldn't get his bat down in time to an express Sami's yorker and that's 6 down for India.

Overs : 55.4 F.O.W : 5-135

Sourav Ganguly  b Shahid Afridi 2(14)

Ganguly was cleaned up by a vicious leg break from Shahid Afridi as the ball turned square from outside off stump. It took a long while for Ganguly to realise that he was bowled, this could well be his last test innings for a while, who knows! Pakistan now sense a comfortable victory but Sachin Tendulkar is in their way.

Overs : 51.2 F.O.W : 4-127

V.V.S.Laxman lbw Shahid Afridi 52(127)

Afridi bowled his skidding top spinner and Laxman was half cock in his defence and got wrapped on his pads. An easy decision for the umpire and now Indian batting looks to be crumbling.

Overs : 42.4 F.O.W : 3-118

Rahul Dravid C Younis Khan b Arshad Khan 16(64)

Rahul Dravid failed yet again at Bangalore. Arshad Khan got the ball to turn and jump and that took the bat off Dravid and Younis Khan at silly point took a marvelous catch.

Overs : 36.3 F.O.W : 2-108

Gautham Gambhir lbw Mohammad Sami 52(127)

After lunch, Inzamam brought back Sami and the fiery fast bowler responded to his captain's call by dismissing Gambhir. Gambhir was wrapped on his pads off a sharp one that swung in late and Billy Bowden gave the batsman out. One must say that Gambhir was beaten by both pace and movement of that delivery. Sami is breathing fire and is consistently bowling over 145 kmph.

Overs : 23.4 F.O.W : 1-87

Virender Sehwag run out (Abdul Razzaq) 38(53)

Just after slogging Kaneria for a four, Gambhir pushed the next ball towards Razzaq at mid on and called his partner for a quick run. It was a bad judgment as the ball was travelling pretty quickly to Razzaq and that got Gambhir to say a "no" with Sehwag already a long way outside the crease. Razzaq kept his cool and hit the stumps directly and with this Sehwag's jinx with the 2nd Innings continues.

Day 4 - Four Indian and Two Pakistani wickets fell

Overs : 38.2 F.O.W : 2-183

Yasir Hameed lbw Anil Kumble 76(138)

Yasir Hameed was playing for the turn and was beaten by Kumble's trademark delivery that skids into the right hander. The batsman was wrapped on his pads and an easy decision for the umpire to declare that as leg before wicket.

Overs : 12.4 F.O.W : 1-91

Shahid Afridi st Dinesh Karthik b Sachin Tendulkar 57(34)

Afridi stepped out a long way to lift Sachin into the stands. But with Sachin coming round the stumps and bowling big leg breaks into the rough, Afridi had absolutely no chance of making contact with the ball and Dinesh Karthik finished off an easy stumping.

Overs : 128.4 F.O.W : 10-449

Anil Kumble b Shahid Afridi 22(64)

Kumble did a marvelous job with Laxman to give a stiff resistance to the Pakistani bowlers especially Sami and Kaneria. But the moment, Afridi bowled (or is it threw?) his faster delivery, it was the end of the Indian innings with Kumble's stumps being cleaned up. Now what is Chris Broad doing when Afridi is chucking his quicker deliveries??

Overs : 104.2 F.O.W : 9-396

Lakshmipathy Balaji c Kamran Akmal b Danish Kaneria 2(16)

Balaji was an unlucky victim to a horrible decision from 'The Joker' in the middle - Billy Bowden. Balaji went for a slog sweep and the leg break from Danish turned a lot to beat him by a long distance. Billy Bowden however thought it was a nick and India lost its 9th wicket. Kaneria has now taken his 2nd 5 wicket haul in this series.

Overs : 105.3 F.O.W : 8-388

Harbhajan Singh c Abdul Razzaq b Danish Kaneria 10(37)

Harbhajan went without a fight this time as he played a club cricketer slog sweep to be held at mid on. Danish Kaneria was the bowler and Abdul Razzaq the fielder at mid on who took the easy catch.

Overs : 104.2 F.O.W : 7-386

Irfan Pathan c Yousuf Youhana b Mohammad Sami 5(27)

Pathan was the first to go on Day 4 as he failed to keep his square cut down and also failed to play it over Youhana at point. Sami was rewarded once again for his spirited fast bowling.

Day 3 - India lost 6 wickets

Overs : 92.6 F.O.W : 6-374

Dinesh Karthik c Asim Kamal b Mohammad Sami 10(37)

A fighting partnership was developing between Laxman and Dinesh Karthik but Sami was relentless and got rewarded for his speed and direction. Dinesh Karthik went for a flashing square cut but that powerful stroke went straight into Asim Kamal's hands at gully. With 4 more overs to go for stumps, India are under tremendous pressure.

Overs : 86.2 F.O.W : 5-343

Sourav Ganguly st Kamran Akmal b Danish Kaneria 1(4)

Pakistan didn't have to wait for another 20 overs to get a breakthrough and no wonder because they were against a shaky Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly was dropped by Younis Khan at silly point off Kaneria and that got the batsman nervous. Next ball Ganguly stepped out even before the ball was released from Kaneria and the bowler just let a googly and that was the end of a tame innings from the Royal Bengal Tiger. Kamran Akmal had an easy stumping and India are in some trouble.

Overs : 82.6 F.O.W : 4-337

Virender Sehwag c&b Danish Kaneria 201(262)

It can be taken as a marathon innings of 201 runs but it was not to be as the 201 runs had come in just 262 balls. Now that's not a long innings for Test Match standards. But what an incredible innings was that from Sehwag, a great innings but a soft dismissal in the end. Sehwag was trying to sweep but changed his mind and tried to push to mid wicket but in the end the ball stopped on to the bat and a simple return catch was taken by Danish Kaneria. You can notice that every Indian wicket seems to be falling at an interval of almost 20 overs.

Overs : 61.2 F.O.W : 3-257

Sachin Tendulkar c Younis Khan b Danish Kaneria 41(71)

Tendulkar was starting to feel well after an edgy start where he had survived some close calls and was playing some well placed shots. Sehwag moved to his 150 with a huge six off Kaneria and in the very next over, Tendulkar probably looking to match Sehwag's fireworks went on for a lofted shot off Afridi; result was a lolly dolly catch to Younis Khan at point. Tendulkar failed to play according to the situation.

Overs : 42.1 F.O.W : 2-172

Rahul Dravid lbw Danish Kaneria 22(53)

Sehwag had just had a great over smashing Razzaq for 15 runs. India were looking ominous but a predetermined paddle sweep in the very next over from Rahul Dravid off the bowling of Kaneria got Pakistan back in the game. Dravid missed that ball and was struck on the pads and Danish Kaneria's loud appeal was enough to convince Simon Taufel. This could be one of the most important wickets in this Test Match and Dravid once again failed at Bangalore.

Overs : 23.2 F.O.W : 1-98

Gautam Gambhir c Younis Khan b Mohammad Sami 24(68)

Gautam Gambhir was doing a fantastic job along with Sehwag by seeing off the threat from the speedy Sami. However Sami deserved a wicket after all for all his energetic fast bowling in this Bangalore heat. Not a wicket taking delivery but Gautam Gambhir lost his concentration and just hung his bat away from his body to give slip catches practice to Younis Khan at 2nd slip. It was again a case of Gambhir throwing away his wicket after looking so good in the middle.

Day 2 - Eight Pakistani Wickets Fell

Overs : 167.5 F.O.W : 10-570

Danish Kaneria c V.V.S.Laxman b Harbhajan Singh 0(1)

Danish Kaneria without wasting anytime went for an almighty heave over midwicket off Harbhajan. But Kaneria's heave was straight into Laxman who was patrolling the deep mid wicket area and that marked the end of the Pakistani innings. Harbhajan is now just 1 short of picking up his 200th Test scalp.

Overs : 167.3 F.O.W : 9-569

Younis Khan c Irfan Pathan b Harbhajan Singh 267(504)

The innings declaration was coming up and Younis had to get those quick 30 odd runs for his triple century. And in doing so he miscued a lofted shot off Harbhajan Singh and an easy skier was taken at covers by Irfan Pathan. Harbhajan took his 5th wicket to end this marathon innings from Younis Khan.

Overs : 166.1 F.O.W : 8-565

Mohammad Sami  run out (Gambhir/Karthik) 17(64)

Sami pushes Anil Kumble's delivery to mid wicket and sets off for a quick run. But Gautam Gambhir is upto the task and runs quickly to his left and Younis Khan seeing this said no and that left Sami stranded. An easy run out as Gambhir fired a straight one bounce throw to Karthik.

Overs : 145.5 F.O.W : 7-504

Kamran Akmal  b Harbhajan Singh 28(41)

Kamran Akmal played superb strokes but he was competing against a fired up Harbhajan Singh. Akmal tried to manufacture a shot by putting his weight on the backfoot and convert the tossed up delivery into a short one but Harbhajan's delivery was too good for him and castled his stumps. What was noticeable was the sharp turn the off spinner got and the match now looks to be evenly poised.

Overs : 129.5 F.O.W : 6-446

Abdul Razzaq c & b Harbhajan Singh 5(37)

It's Harbhajan Singh again doing the damage. After having the two batsmen Younis Khan and Abdul Razzaq quiet , some sort of pressure was creeping in. And Razzaq after playing out a few dot balls saw the flighted off break from Harbhajan and went for his cover drive, but the ball dipped in and Harbhajan took a simple caught and bowled. Harbhajan with that wicket is now just 4 wickets short of having 200 Test Scalps.

Overs : 119.3 F.O.W : 5-428

Asim Kamal c Sourav Ganguly b Harbhajan Singh 4(25)

Asim Kamal who had a slow start to this innings went for a sweep to a ball that was well flighted and pitched outside the leg stump. The ball bounced and took Kamal's top edge and the result was a simple catch to Sourav Ganguly at short fineleg.

Overs : 111.2 F.O.W : 4-415

Yousuf Youhana c Dinesh Karthik b Harbhajan Singh 37(57)

Even after Inzamam's exit, Pakistan kept the momentum going with Yousuf Youhana playing smoothly with Younis Khan. Harbhajan finally had something to smile about and that was through the wicket of Youhana. Youhana tried to square cut Harbhajan, but was a touch late plus there wasn't much room to play the shot and the nick was well caught by Dinesh Karthik. Harbhajan was finally rewarded with a wicket in his 24th over and this was also the first wicket taken by a spinner in this Test.

Overs : 91.1 F.O.W : 3-331

Inzamam-ul-Haq lbw Lakshmipathy Balaji 184(264)

The Sultan of Multan, Inzamam-ul-Haq did not give any chances to the Indian bowlers yesterday and was virtually on a rampage. The big man went on to score a special hundred in his 100th Test but he wasn't going to stop as he took his score to an unbeaten 184 at stumps on Day1. Pakistan in supreme command at the start of the 2nd Day but hey wait today is a fresh day and the wicket would have life early on. Inzamam got a juicy delivery that looked to shape in and Inzamam tried to flick to square leg but the ball held its line and there you go the batsman wrapped on his pads. Simon Taufel lifted his finger and that was the break India needed, by the way it was again Balaji's wicket off the 1st ball of the day like it was with yesterday. Most batsmen would have been foxed by that delivery so the credit goes to Balaji to have produced that magic delivery. The 3rd wicket partnership between Younis Khan and Inzamam was an awesome 344 runs.

Day 1 - Two Pakistani wickets fell

Overs : 2.5 F.O.W : 2-7

Yasir Hameed c Dinesh Karthik b Irfan Pathan 6(11)

Yasir Hameed who had come in place of Taufeeq Umar announced his arrival with a beautiful off drive for 4 and then a cover drive for 2 runs. However the youngster went for a loose shot trying to drive Pathan's wide delivery and that resulted in an outside edge. Dinesh Karthik took an easy catch behind to put Pakistan in early troubles.

Overs : 1.1 F.O.W : 1-4

Shahid Afridi c Rahul Dravid b Lakshmipathy Balaji 0(1)

Balaji bowling his very 1st ball of his spell and just the 2nd over of the Test Match was right on target. He forced Afridi to play at the away swinger and Rahul Dravid at 2nd Slip took a low neat catch. Afridi was out for a duck in the first ball he had faced.
