England ignore Gough
for India tour |

England has named their squads for both Tests
and ODIs for their tour of India. Veteran Darren
Gough couldn’t make it to the One Day Squad as
the selectors decided to stick with young medium
pacers James Anderson and Liam Plunkett. Gough
had dropped out of the Pakistan tour to appear
on a TV Show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Now he
finds himself out of reckoning for next year’s
World Cup and it seems that he had made a
mistake of choosing ‘dance’ before an
‘international cricket tour’. Michael Vaughan,
Ashley Giles and Simon Jones are all back from
their respective injuries. With the return of
Simon Jones in the Test Squad, Anderson has been
dropped. England’s tour of India gets underway
from Feb 18 as they play a 3-day warm up match
at Mumbai. England plays 3 Tests and 7 ODIs on
this tour.
