INDIAN DOMESTIC CRICKET

Cricketfundas.com's Coverage of Duleep Trophy

Duleep Trophy is played on a zonal basis - North Zone, Central Zone, East Zone, West Zone and South Zone battle out for this prestigious tournament. Last season saw England A team taking part in this tournament. The season before this saw a big experiment in the tournament format as BCCI decided to have this tournament for the best available players in the country who were divided into Elite A , Elite B, Plate A and Plate B. This tournament is played in a four-day format. The 2003-2004 Duleep Trophy was more interesting with the inclusion of the visiting England A side.
