New Zealand all rounder Chris Cairns has announced his retirement from One Day International Cricket. Cairns had retired from Test Cricket in 2004 and his last appearance for the Black Caps would be during the twenty20 International against the touring West Indies at Auckland in February.

Australia’s Adam Gilchrist has been charged with dissent of level one offence. Gilchrist was reported for this charge after he had gone towards Aleem Dar and had an animated discussion about Dar’s refusal to go to the third umpire for a run out decision.

Pakistan has retained the same 15-man squad for the 2nd Test to be played at Faisalabad from the 21st.  The 1st Test at Lahore is heading for a certain draw with just 7 wickets falling in 4 days on the placid pitch.

England ignore Gough for India tour

England has named their squads for both Tests and ODIs for their tour of India. Veteran Darren Gough couldn’t make it to the One Day Squad as the selectors decided to stick with young medium pacers James Anderson and Liam Plunkett.
