Bangladesh retain
Habibul Bashar for India Series |

Bangladesh
have retained their Skipper Habibul Bashar for
the upcoming 3-ODI Series at home against India.
Despite his poor show with the bat, Habibul
Bashar has found a place in the side, but the
34-year-old is contemplating a retirement very
soon. The Selectors have named Mohammad Ashraful
as the Vice-Captain for the 14-man squad.
Left handed opening batsman, Shahriar Nafees was
the previous Vice-Captain of Bangladesh.
Following his failure with the bat recently, he
has been stripped off the post, but he does find
a place in the squad. There has been just the
one change in the Bangladesh World Cup Squad.
The 15th player to be omitted from the World Cup
team to make the 14 was
Rajin Saleh, who
didn't get a chance during the World Cup.
India which has been handed a humiliating defeat
by the Tigers arrive in Dhaka on May 7. Along
with the three ODIs, two Test Matches are also
to be played. Bangladeshi cricket fans will not
be getting to see both Sachin Tendulkar and
Sourav Ganguly during the One Dayers as they
have been rested. This series will be the last
one for Coach Dave Whatmore, who had announced
his decision to leave his job. The first ODI is
to be played at Mirpur on the 10th.
