Ireland won the first of the two ODIs against the visiting Bangladesh by 7 wickets. Their Skipper William Porterfield guided them home in a chase of 235 with a 116-ball 108. Paul Stirling, his opening partner chipped in with 52. This was all after the hosts had restricted Bangladesh to 234 for 9. Junaid Siddique with 100 (from 123 balls) and Shakib Al Hasan with 50 were the batting stars for the Tigers.
