Hussey replaces
the injured Langer |

Justin Langer
is out of the 1st Test at Gabba starting
tomorrow. Langer has a fractured rib after he
got hit during an ING Cup match on Saturday.
West Indies had also lost its opening batsman
Wavell Hinds for this Test match. He would be
replaced by his team mate in Western Australia,
Michael Hussey. The 30 year old Hussey is yet to
make his Test Debut and has played 18 ODIs for
Australia ever since he made his debut in a VB
Series game against India in 2004. Hussey has
scored 484 ODI runs till date and has a stunning
average of over 120.00. Justin Langer and
Matthew Hayden have been the regular openers for
Australia since the last 4 years and for 53
consecutive Test Matches since the dropping of
Michael Slater. Langer is however expected to be
fit for the 2nd Test Match at Hobart starting
from the 17th of this month.
