Gilly charged with
dissent; Haddin comes into his place |

Australia’s
Adam Gilchrist has been charged with
dissent of level one offence. Gilchrist was
reported for this charge after he had gone
towards Aleem Dar and had an animated discussion
about Dar’s refusal to go to the third umpire
for a run out decision. Boeta Dippenaar, who was
on 47, was given a reprieve when his bat didn’t
ground properly into the crease. His feet were
in the air and Symonds’s throw crashed into the
stumps but Aleem Dar, the umpire didn’t go for
the third umpire and gave him not out. Australia
had lost this Brisbane match by 5 wickets with
Dippenaar scoring 74. Gilchrist has been rested
for the next 2 ODIs and has been replaced with
Brad Haddin, the NSW stumper. Australia plays
South Africa at Melbourne on the 20th.
