Damien Martyn has got back his place in the
Australian Squad after missing out more than
four weeks due to a finger injury. The
34-year-old with more than impressive stats in
both Tests and ODIs was dropped from the
Australian Test Squad after the Ashes Setback.
The right hander played in yesterday’s Twenty 20
International against South Africa to bludgeon
them all over the GABBA scoring a 56-ball 96
which contained 9 fours and 5 sixes. He opened
the batting to help Australia make 209 in the 20
Overs and was later awarded as the Man of the
Match after the homeside won the match
convincingly by 95 runs. Along with Martyn,
James Hopes, the Queensland All-rounder also
returns to the One Day Squad after recovering
from his shoulder injury. 28-year-old Western
Australian fast bowler Brett Dorey got included
in the squad as well.
